It’s time to welcome back the brave Australians of Operation SLIPPER with a Welcome Home Parade on Mar 21st.

Operation SLIPPER – Welcome Home Parade

The end of 2014 marked the conclusion of Australia’s contribution to the missions in Afghanistan and the Middle East. To celebrate the achievements of the Australian Defence Force personnel, Australian Government civilians and Australian Federal Police that were deployed, the veterans of Operation SLIPPER will march down Anzac Parade to the Australian War Memorial where there will be a memorial service as a conclusion.

There will be a free bbq offered to serving and ex-serving veterans and their families at the Remembrance Nature Park.

This celebration will not only be in Canberra but will be conducted nationwide on the same day.

So come salute and honour our bravest at the Welcome Home Parade this saturday March 21st. For details on each parade in different cities – go to the Department of Defence website.

Time: 9.30am
Location: Starting along Anzaz Parade, Canberra CBD
